FIELD: applicable for chemical laboratories, in particular, fore slow cooling, drying and storage of substances and materials easily absorbing moisture from air in atmosphere with low pressure of water vapors in sealed conditions above adsorbent. SUBSTANCE: in desiccator, having body 1 and cover 2 with ground flanges in which the cover is furnished with handle-tube 3 with an axial hole, provision is made for holder 9 made in the form of cylindrical tube 10 with two bosses 11 and 12 diametrically arranged flush with it near the upper base, and supporting pad 15 is made on the lower base changing into a plate-like surface; in the body of tube 3 provision is made for cylindrical groove 5 with two diametrically arranged grooves (ducts) 7 and 8 for bosses 11 and 12 of the cylindrical tube providing for its displacement to the extreme upper position, and annular groove 6 fixing the cylindrical tube in the upper position; the plate-like holder surface is made either in the form of spherical surface with a flange near the base and holes in circumference of spherical surface, or in the form of a flat disk with a shoulder at the edge and radial ribs arranged on the base.
