SUBSTANCE: in a method including preparation of components, preparation of mix from alkali-silicon binder and quartz filler as principal components, and molding of products from mix and their heat treatment, distinguishing feature consists in subjecting prepared crude material to activation and homogenization directly in the mold by imposing strains providing shear deformation of components caused by compaction of mix by oppositely directed forces displacing solid components relative to each other. EFFECT: increased strength of products due to increased density and homogenization of mix during molding operation, and reduced power consumption due to excluded power-consuming equipment and auxiliaries. 2 cl, 1 dwg
