FIELD: manufacture of alloys for magnets based on neodymium, iron and boron. SUBSTANCE: iron oxychloride resulting from heat treatment of iron chloride hexahydrate is subjected to fluorination 160-180 C, fluorination being carried out at temperatures ranging from 120 to 180 C, fluorination layer should bot be more than 5-6 mm high. The claimed method makes it possible to increase conversion of original products to 96-99.5%, decrease fluorination temperature and make process more efficient. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 2 cl, 4 ex, 4 tbl
