FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: transmission includes unit for change of ratio (variable-speed drive) and planetary unit having three outputs located concentrically. Two of these outputs are connected to opposite ends of variable-speed drive at constant ratio and when ratio of variable-speed drive is changed, speed of one output is increased at all times and speed of other output is decreased at all times. These two outputs are also connected to output of transmission by means of respective gears and clutches. Sequence of modes of procedures extending general limits of transmission ratios is obtained through alternative connection of each of two epicyclic outputs to transmission output. One of above-mentioned modes includes neutral position of gear train. One planetary gearing of planetary unit is so located that power may be recirculated only in mode which includes neutral position of gear train; in other modes it is idling. Ratios and other parameters are so chosen that modes should change in synchronism. EFFECT: extended range of ratios. 8 cl, 7 dwg
