FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: tool carrier is to be inserted into air gap along center line; it has frame portion surrounding center line in circular manner. Frame portion carries checking facilities and a number of rollers relatively shifted in plane perpendicular to center line of tool carrier and each of them is secured on frame portion for rotation about respective axis of revolution primarily perpendicular to tool carrier center line. Tool carrier is inserted in air gap without removing the rotor and carries any tools and accessories required for conducting checks.
