FIELD: metallurgy, namely production of carburizer for out-of-furnace treatment, particularly in vacuum of high-quality steel, possibly in chemical industry, at processing solid wastes. SUBSTANCE: installation includes furnace chamber with refractory walls, retort with cover, gas-duct system, fire box, dryer and cooler. Retort has central and peripheral fire tubes forming central and peripheral fire spaces between peripheral fire tube and refractory wall of furnace chamber of gas-duct system. Retort is provided with metallic multistart conveyor arranged between central and peripheral fire tubes. Central and peripheral fire spaces of gas-duct system are connected in parallel. Inclination angle of screw conveyor may be in range 45-72 degrees. Central and peripheral fire tubes and screw conveyor may be builtup ones and have N parts, N=(1-4)n, where n - number of pitch halves of screw conveyor, possibly four-start conveyor.
