FIELD: loading tankers with oil in the open sea. SUBSTANCE: to reduce degassing and loads on structural members of tanks, required number of central tanks are filled with oil. Width and volume of central tanks are considerably lesser as compared with wing tanks. Then bulkhead are opened between central tank and pair of its wing tanks and oil from central tank is admitted to two wing tanks under action of static pressure. Bulkhead sluices between central tanks are so opened that pair of wing tanks is filled with oil as soon as possible due to respective operation of bulkhead sluices between central tanks and from valves of loading pipe line to central tanks. Then bulkhead sluices to these two wing tanks are closed; when these wing tanks and their central tank have been filled to required level, filling procedure is repeated in accordance with succession stages for additional pairs of wing tanks after all central tanks are filled. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 10 cl, 10 dwg
