FIELD: construction; hammers for driving into ground of metal pipes and other structural members in vertical position. SUBSTANCE: hammer includes guides in which striker moves, actuator, controlled clutch and accumulating drum on shaft. Striker is suspended directly from accumulating drum with the help of flexible member whose length equals to striker stroke. Drum is installed on guides flange and made integral with driven part of controlled clutch. Rotation and axial displacement of drum with respect to its shaft are independent. EFFECT: higher efficiency of driving structural members into ground and provision of hammer operation without head frame. 2 dwg
