FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines and refrigerating machines operating according to Stirling cycle. SUBSTANCE: drive mechanism is made in form of four bevel gears in meching with each other forming closed kinematic system. Each gear has spherical crank and balancing counterweight. Shuttles are fitted in corresponding cranks. One of shuttles is connected to piston rod, and the other is connected to displacer rod. Shuttles are secured on rods by cylindrical joints. Each pair of cranks is shifted through preset angle α, so reciprocating motion of working piston will lag in phase by value α relative to displacer motion. EFFECT: enhanced balancing, reduced overall dimensions, simplified control owing to possibility of changing phase angle in operation. 2 cl, 3 dwg
