FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: heat engine has displacer, regenerator, heater, working piston, cooler and drive mechanism. Displacer provides circulation of condensate from regenerator into cooler and from cooler into heater and, in addition to reciprocating motion, it executes vibratory motions around its axis. Displacer is made in form of concentric cylindrical rings secured in upper and lower portions of displacer housing. Regenerator installed in middle portion of displacer has bowl-shaped condensate collectors. Heater and cooler are made in form of mating part assembled of cylindrical concentric rings. Channels for passage of heated gaseous or liquid heat carrier and cooling liquid, respectively, are made in bodies of rings. Ring spaces of cooler are made in form of communicating vessels for levelling condensed liquid. Communicating vessels are connected by channels with space of piston pump delivering condensed liquid into heater synchronously with movement of displacer.
