SOLAR RADIATION CONCENTRATOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

Abstract RU 2123158 C1

FIELD: national economy; heating of different objects; conversion of solar radiation into other kings of energy, for instance, into heat energy. SUBSTANCE: solar radiation concentrator consists of optical collector and light conduits. Optical collector is made as set of truncated lens-focons assembled into pack secured on frame. lengths of light conduits are glued to narrow ends of lens-focons. Free ends of light conduits are assembled into bundle. End face of bundle is polished. To produce steam or hot water, end of bundle is introduced into heat exchanger made, for instance, of ceragraphite, which gets heated and gives off heat to consumers. EFFECT: reduced overall dimensions and weight owing to dispensing with parabolic screen; enlarged operating capabilities.
