FIELD: lighting and heating of various spaces, such as mines, garages, factories, storehouses, greenhouses operating round the year and other objects of household and industrial assignment. SUBSTANCE: proposed radiation concentrator can also be used for melting of metals and welding. Biconoid radiation concentrators are especially effective in spaces with explosive atmosphere, for instance, mines or factories producing explosives, in underwater operations, particularly in deep-water operations where employment of wiring is difficult. Salient feature of invention consists in manufacture of biconoid concentrator out of two light-tight parts. Each part comes in the form of conoid which internal surface is surface of negative curvature. Parts are interconnected with wide butts, narrow butt of reflecting conoid is closed by mirror. Light guide with various extension pieces is connected to narrow butt of collecting conoid. Light guides come in the form of hollow pipes of different sections and lengths or in the form of light fibers assembled in bundle and connected to narrow butt of concentrating conoid separately or simultaneously. Internal surfaces of conoids are covered with refractory mirror coat and air or water cooling is used to decrease temperature. Various light filters are installed between reflecting and concentrating conoids to change spectral composition of radiation. EFFECT: increased efficiency of concentration of radiation of artificial radiators. 4 cl, 2 dwg
