FIELD: sewing industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves removing damaged portion of fabric and duplicating it with thermoplastic material; providing application patch with sizes exceeding that of cut out portion of fabric; lining insert with application made from thin finishing fabric of any kind, except for synthetic, by pressing heated punch whose outlines coincide with that of cut out portion; connecting insert to sewing article by means of substrate with thermoplastic covering by hot pressing.
