APPARATUS FOR CLEANING OUTER SURFACE OF ELONGATED BODIES OF REVOLUTION Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for cleaning outer surface of bodies of revolution. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes hollow rotor with guiding lengthwise ducts that are made in rod mounted in sleeve with possibility of axial motion, opened to center of rotor and transformed to radial passages at outlet of sleeve. Rear ends of scrapers are fixed to rod. At outlet of sleeve scrapers are arranged in row corresponding to contour of cross section of sleeve duct. Rotor is provided with system having box of washing and cooling liquid and scraper wear compensator. The last is in the form of rim mounted on rotor with possibility of axial motion relative to rotor and engagement with rear ends of rods and cross piece carrying motion drive unit. Pusher is mounted at outlet of scrapers from sleeve in lengthwise duct of rod and it engages at one side with scrapers and at other side - with shock absorber. In zone of scraper outlet sleeve is provided with follower of cleaned surface and it is mounted with possibility of radial motion relative to rotor and spring loaded to it.
