FIELD: transport engineering; passenger cars; engine air supply devices. SUBSTANCE: vehicle has internal combustion engine installed in engine compartment and provided with air clearance. System of air supply branch pipes is connected top air cleaner chamber. Inlet cut of air intake in chamber is located in front zone of engine compartment between engine cooling system radiator and engine compartment front panel. The latter is a sectional structure made in form of thin-walled sound-reflecting panels developed over area. Decorative grille is arranged acoustically in mirror like manner relative to inlet cut of air intake. Air intake cut is arranged in definite manner relative to inner surface of decorative grille. In proposed system distance H from inlet cut of air intake to sound reflecting panel of decorative grille arranged in mirror-like manner close to inlet cut and equivalent diameter D of air intake inlet cut are H/D > 1.7. EFFECT: provision of optimum, from point of view of acoustics, arrangement of air intake in front zone of engine compartment at outside taking-in of air into engine. 4 dwg
