FIELD: gas and oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: gas separator has shaft, body with suction holes, branching unit installed in body with holes for branching liquid and gaseous media, and divider installed in body and made in the form of thin-wall cylinder. Also provided is and auger housing. Located inside auger housing on separator shaft is auger itself with some radial clearance with respect to auger housing. Mounted on inlet part of divider is dividing disk with radial clearance relative to separator body and shaft. Mounted on shaft are blades which are so arranged that passages formed between them gradually convert into liquid branching holes. For each blade, external radius of dividing disk at back side of passage is larger than external radius at its face side. Minimal external diameter of dividing disk is larger than diameter of outlet hole in auger housing. Aforesaid embodiment of gas separator improves its operating reliability.
