FIELD: powder metallurgy; self-lubricating sliding bearings. SUBSTANCE: proposed method is effected as follows: after sieving the powders, charge is prepared and bushes are pressed and sintered, after which helical grooves are made on outer cylindrical surface of porous sintered bush; these grooves are used for laying the wire being wound. Grooves are made in lathe (similarly to cutting threads), Width and depth of grooves depend on size of wire being used: 0.3 to 1.0 of its diameter (see Fig.2). Wire is kept from axial displacement relative to sintered bush by means of these grooves. After cutting the grooves, winding the wire is started; first layer of wire is laid in grooves. In winding the wire, turns are pressed to each other and to grooves. As a result, compensating oil pockets are made in form of circular cavities located between surfaces of adjacent turns of wire. Wire is wound in several layer, after which blank is saturated with liquid lubricant and outer layer is expanded by means of roller in direction of winding. EFFECT: enhanced durability of sliding bearings. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
