METHOD OF LAYING PIPE LINES AND ASSEMBLY EQUIPMENT USED FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: erection and repair of pipe lines in water-saturated soils. SUBSTANCE: trench is made under clayey suspension and assembly equipment is mounted on platform whose protective shield separates clayey suspension from zone of pipe erection. Pipes are delivered to zone of grips by roller conveyer where they are connected and their joints are subjected to tests. Spliced line of pipes with blanked-off end is forced afloat into trench through flexible sleeve. Free end of last pipe of line is sealed up and suspension is pumped out of trench and pipe line is smoothly lowered on trench bottom. Then ends of pipes are unsealed, rigging is dismantled and trench is filled up. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of pipe line and improved operating conditions. 3 cl, 3 dwg
