FIELD: construction; applicable in determination of position of working member, for instance, air drifter in ground in trenchless laying of underground service lines. SUBSTANCE: horizontal projection of path of advance of working member is marked on the ground surface. Located symmetrically to this line are at least two antennas made in the form of single-wire open line. The first antenna is fed from generator of sinusoidal signal, while second one, via controlled phase-shifting device to ensure radiation of signal in antiphase. Formed in horizontal plane running through preset path of advance of working member is zone of zero strength of summarized radio signal. Installed on working member is antenna of receiving device. Working member is moved, and radio signal is radiated into ground mass. Summarized signal from two antennas after passing through ground is registered by receiving device. Value of deviation of working member in plan is determined by the value of difference of summarized signal from zero. With the aid of controlled phase-shifting device, phase shift is changed to be equal to zero of summarized signal. Detection of deviation of working member from project path in plan is determined by value of phase shift. EFFECT: reduced measurement error, higher measurement accuracy, possibility of setting the path of advance in ground with minimal losses. 1 dwg
