FIELD: flaw detection by method of panoramic exposure with penetrating, for example, X-ray radiation of pipe from the inside . SUBSTANCE: method is conducted with the aid of self-propelled flaw detector and may be effectively used in construction of gas and oil pipe-lines or for their repair. Control over movement of self-propelled X-ray flaw detector is performed by signals of outside penetrating radiation to improve radiation safety and to simplify control during high-speed inspection. Pulse X-ray radiation which pulse recurrence rate has two different fixed values corresponding to instructions on movement of flaw detector inside pipe in forward and backward directions is used as controlling penetrating radiation. EFFECT: improved radiation safety and simplified control over movement of flaw detector. 1 dwg
