FIELD: physical chemistry, more particularly, detection of radiation by means of stimulated luminescence. SUBSTANCE: accumulating luminescent material in which electrons excited by falling ionizing radiation are trapped in stable trapping centers followed by release of electrons due to photostimulation, luminescent material being arranged within matrix which comprises sol-gel glass to which accumulating luminescent material is added in the form of alloying agent. Device for using said luminescent material comprises photostimulation agents incorporated into luminescent material, detection agent, and means for detection of photons radiated by luminescent material. Means for photostimulation includes laser. EFFECT: preparation of improved accumulating luminescent material, material having high thermal and chemical stability and high optical property. 19 cl, 8 dwg
