FIELD: purification methods. SUBSTANCE: crude uranium hexafluoride is fed into reaction vessel irradiated with laser emission with power below 24000 cm-1 converting impurities into nonvolatile forms and simultaneously preventing uranium hexafluoride from dissociation. Gas is then released from reaction vessel and nonvolatile impurities (neptunium and plutonium) remaining in the vessel are fluorinated with fluorination agents (IF7, BrF3, ClF3), whereupon fluorinated impurities are released. EFFECT: eliminated process wastes. 24 cl, 4 dwg
