FIELD: drugs. SUBSTANCE: drugs subjected to gamma-radiation are certified by measuring amplitudes of intensity of flashes occurring upon chemiluminescence of suspension of polymorphonuclear living body cell lymphocytes in presence of substances being analyzed and luminol at temperature close to 37 C. Effect of gamma-irradiated drugs on living body cells is registered and compared with that obtained with non-irradiated drugs. The procedure is repeated each three days during a month. Measured parameters are maximum intensity amplitude of the first chemiluminescence flash, 107 quanta/s 4 π, upon addition of nonirradiated drug; and amplitude of intensity one min after closing of shutter of chemiluminometer for introducing sample of irradiated drug, 107 quanta/s 4 π. Magnitude of toxicity of irradiated drug is found from difference in intensity amplitudes of the first flash upon addition of nonirradiated drug and chemiluminescence intensity in the case when irradiated drug to be certified is available. Pellets are preliminarily crushed and dissolved in water 2.0 mg/ml. Rabbit and human blood with 5-% sodium citrate in 4:1 proportion are used to calibrate chemiluminescence device.
