FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separators and may be used for separation of fluid and mechanical impurities from gas flow at gas and gas condensate treatment plants. Gas separator consists of casing with gas-fluid mix inlet pipes, separated phase discharge pipes, inertial separation assembly with gas passages and fluid and impurities bleed channel, zone of fluid drop gravity separation and separator bed composed of a stack of sheets with inclined crimps or porous ledges. Separator case is either spherical or cylindrical. Besides, coalescence assembly made of porous material is added and arranged between inertial separation assembly and bed assembly at perforated distribution grates directed to vertical. Bed and coalescence assemblies in spherical case are shaped to ring while those in cylindrical case represent rectangles.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, reduced drag.
