FIELD: composite materials and corrosion protection. SUBSTANCE: material effective in antirust protection of petroleum and gas pipelines as well as other steel product pipelines is manufactured by extruding polyethylene or ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer tape followed by calendering, electronic chemical modification, lamination of tape by layer of ethylene-vinylacetate copolymer with 20-30 mol % vinyl acetate group content, and radiation grafting by irradiation with fast-electron beam with energy 0.3-0.4 MeV/1 mm until absorption of 0.05-0.15 MGr dose in boundary layer. Irradiated material is subjected to uniaxial orientation and covered with polymer-bitumen adhesive to which up to 10% of ethylene- vinylacetate copolymer can be added.
