Abstract RU 2124977 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: this can be used for final treatment of surfaces of grooves in internal rings of bearings. According to method, used in function of tool is band which is rewinding from one reel to another and having running-on section and running-out section. Band is brought in contact with surface of article to be treated and article is rotated around its axis. Band is of round cross-section and its radius is equal to minimal radius of curvature of concave part of profile of article surface being treated. Band receives additional rotating motion around its central axis by means of simultaneous turning of lateral cross-section of running-on and running-out sections together with corresponding reels. Speed of additional rotating motion is selected so as to ensure not less than 3-8 revolutions of band cross-section during treatment of single article. Aforesaid operations widen technological potentialities in application of method due to treatment of toroidal surfaces and also improve stability of band. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg, 1 ex
