FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building and can be used in final treatment of surfaces of grooves of inner rings of rolling bearings. In machining tool is used in the form of endless round tape with metal core inside, enclosing processed surface along arc. Abrasive paste is applied on the belt and displacement relative to the machined surface is transferred to it at cutting rate. Infinite band is pressed to surface with adjustable clamping force by means of roller, rotating from friction force with processed surface. Billet is rotated around its axis, and tape – additional rotation around its central axis along entire length by application of equal torque to its descending and ascending branches.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of shaping processed surface by ensuring equality of belt pressure in all its points.
