FIELD: machine engineering, possibly making bearing assemblies, namely lapping parts such as rollers with spherical surfaces in different branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of charging rollers to be lapped into continuously rotating disc with seats arranged along its periphery; imparting to disc motion at circular feeding of it relative to end of tool. Tool is elastically forced in radial direction and it is in the form of circle segment with inner spherical surface whose radius is equal to that of lapped surface of roller. Then tool is subjected to rocking motion around its axis in range 360 degrees. Axes of tool and disc are arranged one normal relative to another and they are crossed in point being apex of roller generatrix and center of spherical surface of circle segment. EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance and quality of lapped surface, increased efficiency of method. 2 dwg, 1 ex
