FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: resonator has cylindrical housing, inlet and outlet branch pipes, swirlers with guide vanes and longitudinal corrugated bellows over perimeter of housing with increased distance between corrugation. Swirlers have ring bases installed between end faces of bellows. Vanes are radial. Vanes of adjacent swirlers are installed to provided changing of gas flow to opposite direction. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of noise damping without increasing overall dimensions and weight of resonator and muffler. 2 cl, 3 dwg
