METHOD FOR MEASURING FREQUENCY RESPONSE OF PASSIVE FOUR-POLE IN WAVEGUIDE Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: design and manufacturing of devices which have line with distributed characteristics. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring complex reflection and transmission factors in source waveguide upon mounting four-pole in given position with respect to longitudinal axis of waveguide, selection of operating frequency within range of given frequencies, running measurements sequentially in direct and reverse directions. For measurements at another frequency within range of given frequencies, four-pole under investigation is mounted in equivalent waveguide, which wave resistance is equal to wave resistance of source waveguide. Then method involves sequence of measurements of complex reflection and transmission factors in direct and reverse directions. All measurements are performed for constant wave mode. Position of four-pole under investigation with respect to longitudinal axis of equivalent waveguide is identical to its position in source waveguide. EFFECT: decreased influence of directrix on measurements, increased functional capabilities for design of microwave equipment. 1 dwg
