TRACTION MOTOR SPEED GOVERNOR Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: traction drives and electrified vehicles using traction induction motors. SUBSTANCE: speed governor has pulse converters connected in conducting direction between power supply poles and phase selectors built up of thyristors and diodes. Diode bridge is inserted between pulse inputs of first regulators and outputs of second ones. Series- connected control switch member and thyristors are inserted between center tap of power supply and outputs of first regulators and inputs of second ones. Ranges of phase selectors and reverse diode bridge are combined and connected to induction motor phase leads. EFFECT: increased efficiency due to improved waveform of output voltage. 1 dwg
