SEAT BELT LOCK Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; seat belts.

SUBSTANCE: proposed seat belt lock contains interlocking detachable and receiving parts. Detachable part is provided with tongue with hole on its end driven into receiving part. Receiving part arranged in protective housing has U-shaped holder in front of which two sections of side walls of holder symmetrically bent and pointed to each other are found. Holder is provided with latch in form of curved plate with outputs in side walls to support retainer. Tooth is located on front side of lock for engagement with hole of tongue and hole made in holder base. Lower side of latch has two symmetrical support steps. Side symmetrical longitudinal steps freely fitted in slots on side walls of holder are made in rear part of latch. Retainer for locking the latch is installed for movement in longitudinal holes of holder side walls in parallel to holder base. Slots are made on side walls of release button to catch retainer. Pusher with pushing out spring engages with lock tongue. Retainer spring applies pressure to retainer, and tie-rods are used to fasten lock on vehicle. Latch is provided additionally with two supports for retainer formed by one of sides of latch cutouts so that clearance is provided between retainer supports and front face of latch side wall cutouts. Height of supports for retainer on side walls of latch is greater than or equal to depth of cutouts on side walls of latch, and support for lock tongue retainer are arranged at acute angle relative to longitudinal axis of latch.

EFFECT: improved reliability of lock.
