FIELD: medicine; neurosurgery, neuropathology; neonatology. SUBSTANCE: method includes ultrasonic scanning of brain through skull bones. Scanning is performed by sensors at frequency of 2.5 to 5.0 MHz at pints of maximum ultrasonic permeability of skull, in temporal, frontal and occipital regions of head. Obtained pictures are compared with norm and pathology standards obtained preliminarily during examination of brain at the same points. EFFECT: enhanced truth of brain condition evaluation. 1 tbl
