FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: mechanical vibrations of the patient's head are measured with a vibration sensor from the occipital part of the patient's head, and converted to an electrical signal. The amplitude-frequency spectrum of the electrical signal is identified in the frequency range from 0.5 to 46 Hz. In the same frequency range, the total energy of mechanical head vibrations and vibration energy in the frequency spectrum region from 2 to 4 Hz are determined. The value of intracranial pressure is calculated as a ratio of the vibration energy in the frequency region from 2 to 4 Hz and the total energy of the signal in the entire frequency range, taking into account the coefficients of linear dependence.
EFFECT: method allows to increase the reliability of non-invasive determination of intracranial pressure, which is achieved by recording the head oscillations from the occipital region in the indicated frequency range and calculation of the obtained values ratio.
