FIELD: food industry; heat treatment of food. SUBSTANCE: in the course of oven control, food pan is not raised when weight of food is higher than preset reference value in order to prevent exposure of lifting device and weight meter to excess pressure. Microwave oven that has cooking chamber using effect of microwave energy and heat, pan lifting device, and tray revolving gear is operated in following steps: setting mentioned pan in rotary motion by turning on mentioned revolving gear upon arrival of start-of-operation signal; metering weight of food placed in mentioned pan; comparing weight of food with predetermined limit; raising mentioned pan up to preset height by starting mentioned lifting device in case food weighs below preset limit; turning off lifting device in case food weighs above preset limit.
