COMBINED SEEDING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, early-spring sowing of multicomponent fodder mixture in irrigated and bogharic agriculture regions. SUBSTANCE: seeding apparatus has wheel-type tractor with pneumatic paired tires of equal size. Front wheels are provided with treads formed as annular beads and rear wheels are provided with treads oriented alternatively in opposite directions relative to tractor advancement direction. Seed box, seeding units, seed guide and seeding units drive are positioned in space between tractor wheels. Front and rear tires are formed as set of segments mounted on paired wheel disks. Arced projections on segments of front wheels are laterally offset in alternation relative to tractor advancement direction for predetermined value. Seed guides are equipped with mechanisms for moving them in lateral direction for value equal to crop row width and are operated in synchronism with progressive motion speed of paired wheels by means of feeler mechanisms. Such construction allows combined transporting and seeding operations to be performed for one pass of apparatus. Soil ameliorating effect is achieved by sowing phytoameliorative crops to facilitate desalinization of unproductive irrigated fields, sowing of disturbed soils to grass, sowing of rice and cotton in water-logged soil.
