EGG INCUBATION AND CHICKEN HATCHING METHOD, INCUBATOR AND HATCHING TRAY Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: incubator has tray where eggs are retained with their obtuse ends positioned at an angle of 35 deg relative to tray horizontal bottom. Tray sides are provided with slits for direct supplying of fresh air to eggs during incubation period. Incubator is further provided with columns for arranging a great deal of trays with eggs in stages. Column loaded with trays is rolled into incubator chamber through door of first set of doors. This door is adapted for communicating incubator chamber with one corridor of set of corridors disposed at the first level to provide fresh air circulation. Upon termination of incubation period and chicken hatching, columns and air parameter control unit are removed from each incubator chamber through door of second set of doors into corridor disposed at second level and adapted for receiving air from incubator chambers during incubation period. Air pressure in first-level corridor is higher than that in second-level corridor to minimize the risk of infecting chickens with diseases.
