FIELD: neurology. SUBSTANCE: invention provides stable aqueous pharmaceutical compositions with human nerve growth factor, containing aqueous isotonic buffered solutions with pH values from about 4.5 to about 6.0 and optionally containing carrier such as human serum albumin. Also provided are aqueous compositions with human nerve growth factor appropriate for lyophilization and subsequent reduction, wherein nerve growth factor is mixed with sugars, optionally with human serum albumin, and with buffer.
