SUBSTANCE: present invention describes indole derivatives of formula I: wherein Z is group of formula a) or b) ; R1 is group of formula I (c), (d) or (e); X is -O-, NH or S; A, B, D, E and F each independently is C or N; R2,R3,R4,R5 and R6 are H, C1-6 alkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, halogen, cyano, nitro, -NR7R8, -SR9, -SO2R9, -CONR7R8, -CO2R9;; or one or pairs R2-6 taken together with ring carbon atoms to which they are attached form 5- or 6-membered heteroaryl ring containing 1 or 2 nitrogen heteroatoms; R7 and R8 are H, alkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, -(CH2)qR10;; R9 is alkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, hydrogen, -(CH2)wR11;; R10 and R11 are OH, -OR12, -CO2R12, -CONHR12,, cyano; R12 is H, alkylphenyl, phenyl, alkyl; R13/ is H, -OR14, -NHCOR14;; R14 is alkyl, alkylphenyl; n is 0,1 or 2; m is 1,2 or 3; q is 2,3 or 4; w is 2,3 or 4, said phenyl and phenyl moiety of alkylphenyl being optionally substituted by 1-3 substituents comprising C1-4 alkyl, halogen, hydroxy, cyano, carboxamido, nitro, C1-4 alkoxy; represents optional double bond, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. Compounds of formula I and pharmaceutical composition based on said compounds are potent serotonin (5-HT1) agonists. Said compounds are useful for treating depression, fear, alimentary disorders, obesity, toxicomania, migraine and other disorders which result from deficient serotonergic neutrotransmission.
