Component B of polymeric composition comprises 0.1-30 wt % at least one component of polymer and/or copolymer selected from metacrylic acid, metacrylonitrile, metacrylamide, vinyl acetate, vinyl pyrrolidone, vinyl pyridine, maleic acid (maleic anhydride, itaconic acid or anhydride, fumaric acid, vinyl sulfonic acid and/or 2-acrylamide-2- methylpropane-sulphonic acid; amides, N-alkyl derivatives and N,N′-dialkyl derivatives. In this case, polymers and copolymers are cross linked with at least one bifunctional compound, and composition further comprises 0.1-30 wt % based on components A and B, 0.01-10 wt % at least one organic matrix having melting or softening temperature of lower than 180 C to prevent stratification and gel formation based on components A and B, and ionic and/or covalent cross-linking agent. The resulting polymeric composition is biodegradable, has high mechanical strength, and when swollen, has very high gel resistance.
