SUBSTANCE: polymeric absorption material consists essentially of special component A based on vegetable-origin polysaccharide substances, special component B consisting of polymer capable of swelling in water, matrix material, ionic and/or covalent cross- linking agent or antiblocking agent. Composition can be obtained by combining polymer capable of swelling in water with polysaccharide, followed by drying and grinding resulting mixture, adding other components, agitating mixture to achieve homogeneity, and performing heat treatment. If necessary, after this heat treatment, when cross-linking agent was added, the latter is fixed on matrix by way of further heat treatment.
