DEVICE FOR PLACING OF SLEEPERS Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: railway track repair and maintenance equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has inclined frame which is made up of lower section and upper section. Lower section has supporting surface for sleepers intended for placing. Installed on upper section of frame is power-driven mechanism for cutting off group of sleepers. Sleeper lowering mechanism is made in the form of ramp which is installed for possible turning in vertical plane relative to its axis. Frame is installed on support with possibility of turning its incline angle. Frame support is made in the form of supporting platform. Pivotally mounted on this supporting platform are inclined post and power cylinder. Inclined post and power cylinder pivotally connect supporting platform with lower section of frame. Application of aforesaid embodiment of device ensures higher productivity of operations due to spreading of sleepers exactly to given scheme. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 7 dwg
