FIELD: treatment of solid macroparticle materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes entrainment of solid macroparticle material with gas to form gas flow containing entrained particles and bringing this flow in contact with flow of hot gases. Contact between these two flows are effected so that at least one part of solid macroparticle material is heated rapidly, and heated and nonheated particles enter the structure of flows in which contact between particles and with inner surface of contact chamber is reduced to minimum. The invention also covers the device for production of molten products which has chamber for heating and treatment of solid macroparticle materials. The device additionally has reactor with bath of molten metal. Reactor is combined with heating chamber. Hot exhaust gases from reactor with bath of molten metal may be passed through this chamber and treated macroparticle material may be supplied to reactor with bath of molten metal or partially recirculated through this chamber. Heating of macroparticle material up to very high temperatures promotes rapid proceeding of chemical reactions. EFFECT: accelerated chemical reactions, reduced total energy expenses. 16 cl, 4 dwg
