FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: construction unit is intended for use in erection of walls of civic, industrial, and agricultural buildings. Triple-layer construction unit incorporates load-bearing layers which are connected to each other and have hollows and slots. Warmth-conserving layer is located between load-bearing layers and it has connecting links and profiled edge. Dimensions of warmth-conserving layer in height and length are larger than similar dimensions of construction unit by width of brickwork joint. In addition, warmth-conserving layer is displaced relative to construction unit itself in height and length so that connecting links are found within limits of common planes in height and length of construction unit layers. Construction unit has through-type air interlayer located between load-bearing layer and warmth-conserving layer. Walls are erected from construction units with use of building mason's mortar with bonding of joints. EFFECT: higher heat-engineering characteristics and load-bearing capacity, simplified production and wall erection technology, increased technological potentialities and reduced amount of materials needed in manufacture. 2 cl, 4 dwg
