FIELD: equipment for two-wire telephone lines to which several communication devices are connected. SUBSTANCE: method involves detection of loop current from telephone line using communication device in which initial voice communication is established. If detected value is less than single-channel value, which serves as initial voltage value provided by initial loop current which is generated upon setting initial voice communication, then one more voice communication channel is connected to another communication device. This results in possibility to detect voice communication in communication equipment which is ready for communication by means of checking alternations in loop current in telephone line.
