FIELD: medical devices. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing set of contact electrodes on skin and connecting power supply in alternating order to arbitrary pairs of electrodes, measuring potential difference at each pair of other electrodes, detection of reference values of differences by means of approximation of measured distribution. Image of three- dimensional distribution of conductance is generated by means of backward projection along equal-potential lines. Tomographic scanner has system of contact electrodes, current driver, unit which measures potential differences with differential amplifier, microprocessor unit, analog commutators, circuit for compensation of equal-phase voltage constituent at each pair of electrodes and circuit for compensation of contact potential difference.
