FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, devices for metal continuous casting. SUBSTANCE: mold includes body and working walls with recesses made on integral surface of working walls and filled with heat-resistant materials. Recesses are made in the form of holes arranged in rows and with diameter of 10-20 mm and depth amounting from the level of permissible wear at least 0.25 diameter of holes but not in excess of 0.5 value of plate permissible wear. Upper row of the first belt is located at height amounting up to 1/3-1/2 mold height, lower row of the last belt is located at height of at least two diameters of holes from lower end face of mold wall. Holes of each subsequent row are displaced in horizontal plane with respect to holes of foregoing row. In this case surfaces of holes within the range of each belt fully cover the surface of walls. Distance between hole centers in row and between rows amounts at least up to 1.5 their diameters. Heat-resistant material used for filling of holes is used in the form of material whose hardness without heat treatment exceeds the hardness of material of mold walls by a factor of 3-5.
