FIELD: pipe lines used for transportation of oil, medium under pressure and media containing solid particles. SUBSTANCE: cock has shut-off member made in form of wedge pair consisting of drive and driven members with straight-way passage; they are engageable over inclined surfaces. Cock is also provided with drive mechanism, motion nut and spindle with tail-piece connected with drive member. Shut-off member is provided with sealing valves and relief valve. Sealing valves which are engageable with body at all times are located in bores made in driven and drive members coaxially relative to inlet and outlet passages. Relief valve consists of disk-type gate fitted on stem and circular groove made on end face of drive member and brought in communication with bore for sealing valve. Bore of driven member is brought in communication with straight-way passage. Drive member is connected with tail-piece by means of wedge joint.
