FIELD: the invention refers to stop valve particularly to the constructions of ball flanged cocks.

SUBSTANCE: it is used in the system of pipelines transporting liquid and gaseous aggressive mediums. A ball cock has a housing with a socket and a spherical cork installed in it. This cork is connected with the rod. On the rod there are a press-on bush and a packing seal. On the butt-ends of the housing and of the socket coming into contact with the cork packing rings are installed. Between the body and the socket there is a packing. The housing has a boring with a cylindrical and conic surfaces. On the butt-end of the socket cylindrical surfaces are fulfilled. The packing has in itself a one-sided wedge and a cylinder. This packing is located in the housing boring and is attached with its cylindrical and conic surfaces and with the cylindrical surfaces of the socket. The rod consists of steps with a groove. The packing seal is in this groove.

EFFECT: the invention is directed on modernization of the construction of the ball cock and increases the period of its exploitation.
