FIELD: generation of high-frequency damped oscillations; welding engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves generation of oscillations by varying signal controlling excitation of oscillations in which series of current and voltage resonance is formed by shock excitation of electric circuits and generation of harmonics of higher order than that of fundamental oscillation in them. Device implementing this method has high- frequency transformer, thyristor switch, power supply, pulse transformer, resistor, phase-shifting unit, two capacitors, and inductance coil. EFFECT: increased power of electric oscillations which can greatly increase power capacity of welding apparatus. 2 cl, 4 dwg
